WELCOME TO MY GALLERY OF 'STRIPELINE' ART AND MIXED GENRES

The term Stripeline is used when the stripes or lines are painted in rows. Although not every stripe or line forms a pattern in a composition, the forming of straight and curving stripes and lines through patterns of adjacent and adjoining lines is at the core of Stripeline Art. This technique can be simple and complex in meaning and forms. This initial display shows the various ways it can be done. The basic principle to the stripeline technique is just to start painting stripes and lines on a canvas, continue building upon the original lines until a theme or form appears. Stripeline offers the painter the space to unleash subconscious energy based upon intuition, memory and experience or imagination. It's best not to start a composition with an idea as to what it should be. Just allow it to happen. I paint with a free hand. I use no graphic equipment. This initial display shows a variety of techniques, It is as much experimental art as it is expressionistic.
